SWAP stands for "Simplified Web Automated Portal". SWAP is a template driven portal utilizing PHP and Perl and was inspired by various projects such as WebAPP and Phorum. The SWAP database can be flat fiat file or SQL (Structered Query Language), both editions with an Admin Screen and various Perl Scripts for automation. SWAP can be used as a public web portal to run discussion centers, bulletin boards, chat rooms, event schedules (calendars), instant messaging programs, guestbooks, email system, photo-galleries, shopping carts, classifieds, news publishing, and more. (AKA YazaPort and WebApp).
